We have been learning lots of new hockey skills thanks to our friends in Boyne Hockey and Hockey Ireland. The girls are learning a lot about the game and are looking forward to next week when they will play mini games.
Thanks to Ann Hanan we were so lucky to make our own St Brigid's crosses with local rushes from the Boyne Esturary. We had lots of fun.
In January we made the cold trip up to the RDS to support our 6th class girls in the Young Scientist Exhibition. We had an amazing day, from learning about the heart, road safety and even robot wars. There was a lot of tired eyes on the route home.
We learned a lot about electricity and positive and negative charges.
We have got off to a flying start in 5th class. We are having so much fun already, from science experiments to basketball and tinwhistle to dodgeball. The fun is only beginning
We tested food to see if there was starch present. We used iodine solution and found out that when food turned black or blue, starch was present.
